Doonesbury Lays The Smackdown On Bloggers

The thing is, Gary isn’t right and he’s not wrong either. There are some bloggers out there who simply scream at each other and would never make it in a newsroom.
There are others, though, who actually work in newsrooms and blog on the side. And what about all the fully employed people who “blog on the side” because they’re passionate about sharing ideas? Are Trudeau’s platitudes aimed at them as well?
In other words, cutting wide swaths with rhetoric will always make you look foolish. But maybe that’s the point. Maybe Trudeau doesn’t care. After all, I linked to his cartoon.
