Justin, I thought Howard was your guy?
More seriously, does Dean really think that most people, even Democrats, will think that SCOTUS is Bush’s court, even though (currently) he has appointed zero of the members? Does anyone other than a fringe group buy this?

Howard was my guy, but definitely not anymore. That doesn’t mean I don’t think his ideas aren’t still valid. But once he started selling the snake oil to the faithful, I jumped ship. I honestly thought he could bring some balance to the DNC, but he’s showing us that he’s even worse than Terry McAuliffe, who was pretty awful.
And this SCOTUS comment is ridiculous. Dean is still making himself such an easy target and it’s painful to watch.

What in the world ever happened to him? Is he leading some sort of suicide charge as revenge for being shunned in favor of Kerry?
Dean would’ve been my first Dem Presidential vote in many years. I always thought of him as an un-politician. And if someone had told me in 2003 that he would say some (any!) of the things he’s said these past months, I would have laughed hysterically.
Maybe he’s self-medicating (sorry, I’m being serious). Either way, it’s sad. And troubling. It’s really mucking with the balance of the Force.
