A tangible anti-war movement isn't an important event?  I'd say it's definately news - news that you shouldn't be dismissing so flippantly.</description>

		<description>I have become skeptical of any US national politician doing anything for anything as altruistic as promoting democracy. The people may generally believe in it, but had that been what motivated Lugar et al then it would have been done a long time ago by the State Department. Perhaps our current suppliers of phosphate have become less enthralled with us, as is rapidly occurring with those who supply our oil. I would follow the money.</description>
