A little family run place in Talent, Oregon on Hwy 99. They served wonderful sausage gravy over hashbrown potatoes. Gone now to the strip mall culture.

Not really "road food" for me, but Webster's in Metairie (Exit north off I-10 at Clearview) and the Tiffin Inn in Kenner (Exit west off I-10 at Veterans) The Tiffin is a bit more "genteel" than Webster's. You'd go to Webster's at the tail end of a night out with your buddies (Or at Oh-Dark-Thirty on your way out of town to go hunting), Tiffin Inn after a night out with your sweetheart.

The Tiffin Inn has more pancake varieties than your average IHOP, while Webster's is the place for raising your blood cholesterol to the point where you need an oil change instead of a transfusion...
