Thankfully however the city of New Orleans, already under sea level, was spared the harder side of the eyewall but the Superdome’s roof has already taken a beating. Time remains to see how badly the city was affected, but it is likely to be heavily flooded, but news is already coming in that people have lost their lives. Crossposted at The English Guy.
