His actions in the GWOT are more like Blair's stirring rhetoric than the mush of his own speech, which is a good thing. A bad thing is that his protectionist actions with respect to trade are quite unlike his own stirring rhetoric on the subject. Bush is just an ordinary politician. It seems clear that if Bush was mayor of New Orleans or governor of Louisiana nothing would have been any different. He is a phony. It is really sad to see how far Bush has fallen.
