wow Americans really think much of themselves.. America needs Saudi Arabia specially now that oil prices are high. I doubt they're going to do something about it.

Weaning ourself off the oil teat is a start, but in the meantime, there are plenty of things we can do. We can round up and deport any Suadi citizens we don't like, just for harasments's sake, starting with any "clergy" in American mosques and working down the list from there. There is no violation of anyone's rights involved, because it is settled international law that no alien has any right to enter much less reside in someone else's country. We might progress to being nasty to their ambassador, again, for harassment's sake.

The weakness of oil teat thinking is that it tends to ignore money teat thinking. They need out cash as much as we need their oil. We are in a much better position to take their oil than they are to take our cash.

We have a strategic advantage because as a nation we often act in abrupt andirrational ways. We often act contrary to our interest. This should goive the Suadis a lot to think about. whenthey consider the likelhood of a US move against the oilfields.

This type of stuff just pisses me off, but what to do? We can't really punish them, unless you consider stern words punishment.

Personally, I think all we can do is pour more money into programs that will help us ween ourselves from the oil teet. Only then will we have a leg to stand on.
