Bill Kristol On Plame Indictments
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in General Politics, Law, The War On TerrorismThink Progress has this partial transcript from Kristol’s appearance on Fox News Sunday:
Criminal defense lawyers I’ve spoken to who are friendly to the administration are very worried that there will be one or more indictments in the next three weeks of senior administration officials, just looking at what Fitzgerald is doing and taking him at his word, you know, being a serious prosecutor here. And I think it’s going to be bad for the Bush administration.
If this President, who came into power promising to restore honor and dignity to the Oval Office, has indictments handed down against his staff for outing a CIA agent…yes…that’s bad.
Meanwhile, I blogged yesterday about Rove’s missing emails, and I questioned the argument that an email that somebody knew they sent during a certain period of time couldn’t be found because of bad keyword searching.
Go ahead and read it and tell me if you disagree.
