Sheehan Gives Hillary A Gift
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Elections, General Politics, WarHere’s a story about Sheehan calling Hillary a “war hawk” :
“I think she is a political animal who believes she has to be a war hawk to keep up with the big boys,” Sheehan writes in an open letter. “I would love to support Hillary for president if she would come out against the travesty in Iraq. But I don’t think she can speak out against the occupation, because she supports it. I will not make the mistake of supporting another pro-war Democrat for president again: As I won’t support a pro-war Republican.”
Wow. I bet the people in Hillary’s camp are smiling today, especially since I found this story on Drudge and it comes from WorldNetDaily, a decidedly right-wing news outlet.

I think you’re kidding youself, Justin. By the time 2007 rolls around, her support for the war will be the millstone that drowns Hillary for Prez. Early skepticism of the war will be a minimum requirement for the Dem nomination, which points, in my view, to three possible candidates: Wes Clarke, Al Gore and Russ Feingold.
