Heh-heh. He said "Clitonites." Freud's bouncing off the walls of his mausoleum.

What a lovely mess. Live by the special prosecutor, die by the special prosecutor. Perhaps Mr. ElBaradei and the E.U. can convince us to surrender this weapon of mass destruction.

The Bush crew got its tit in a wringer because it was in too much of a hurry to discredit Wilson before the election. It should have trusted in his ability to discredit himself.

After the report of the Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction (March 31, 2005, pp. 76-79), the Report on the U.S. Intelligence Community's Prewar Intelligence Assessments on Iraq (July 7, 2004, pp. 36-72), and The Privy Counsellors' Review of Intelligence on Weapons of Mass Destruction (the "Lord Butler Report," July 14, 2004, pp. 121-5), no one ought to pay any attention to Mr. Wilson's political statements or give his opinions any more credibility than those of any other lazy bureaucrat with an axe to grind.

The best outcome, for me, would be to see the entire Cheney wing of the Bush White House go down in scandal, then elevate Condi Rice to veep. If Rove goes down as well, so much the better.

So is a special prosecutor on a fishing expedition a good thing or a bad thing? Or does it all depend on whose ox is gored? Why not just elect the special prosecutor on the same day we elect the president? It seems it's now an inevitable adjunct to every American administration, like a tin can tied to a dog's tail.

You'd think we would have learned something from Lincoln's experience.

It sounds like Fitzgerald is going to indict Rove over something he didn't say. That is not purgery.

When indictments come out it will be pretty clear that Fitzgerald is nothing but a left-wing hack ala Ronnie Earl.
