It was a good speech. But Bush has lost his audience. He has lost the ability to move the polls with a speech. It's not just negligent media coverage -- that's a constant. It's that the people have written him off. My reaction watching it today was, "I agree Mr. President, this is just, this is true, this is vital: so why did you screw this up so badly?"
