Israel got the territory now called Palestine by defending itself from an unprovoked attack by Muslim controlled nations.

It did not envade that territory.

I believe that Israel should set that territory free, but it has every right to defend itself from terrorist attacks on its civilian population.

You are correct, Hamas is not a terrorist organisation. It is a legally elected ruling body of Palestine and every so called terrorist attack is actually an act of war to witch Israel can respond to any way it wants.

As for the US invading other countries. While the whole Iraq war has tarnished what the US has stood for we do have a better record than many others. The military and economic might of the US is far superior that that of the Romans, however they have not used it to gain world domination as the Romans, French, Germans, Greeks, or Mongolians have. Again, Propaganda.

You also commented that the US wants to stop Islam from spreading. The US allows religions of all types. You can worship any religion in the US without governmental persecution, however that can not be said of Islamic countries. I believe a man from Afganistan was senetenced to death for converting to Christianity. There is a sharp contrast between the two. Again Propaganda.

The true message if Islam is Peace, however you have to forgive Westerners for there scepticism. If you study a map you will see that the predominately Islamic countries are surrounded by war. In the East Pakistan fights India. To the north there is war with Russia, to the West they fight Isreal, to the South they fight everyone in Africa. There is no area where Islam meets other cultures without a war. So who would you point the finger at?

Westerners buy into the propaganda, as do you.
