The first thing that came to my mind when reading this was the ongoing Cory Maye case in Mississippi. (Summary for the uninitiated: Maye has been convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death for fatally shooting an armed intruder in his home in 2001. The “intruder” turned out to be a police officer conducting a no-knock drug raid on the wrong house, but Maye had no way of knowing this until after the fact. Radley “The Agitator” Balko has taken up Maye’s cause on his blog.)

At least Maye lives in a nation where the result of his trial sparks substantial outrage, and has a chance to be overturned. The odds against him are still pretty steep, but a fair sight less so than what this Iranian girl faces under shari’a.

You guys are racist. How dare you criticize islam like that. You are nothing but Islamaphobes. I bet this blog is operated by zionists or neo-cons.
