The evangelical movement is entirely based in the culture war. It was spawned by the culture war. The culture war is the air that it breaths. Christ was in fact a cultural warrior.

I suppose that if the evangelicals had voted for John Kerry and supported post-birth abortions, gay marriage, and culturally-sanitized schools & public squares — the soul of the evangelical movement would be uncorrupted, pristine and completely undefined. Perfect.
