I was asked to turn it inside out. Doesn't cuffing, removal from the premises and "detainment" for up to 4 hours (according to CNN) seem a bit excessive for a t-shirt? I'm likewise more interested in how/why someone would find wearing a t-shirt to the SOTU to be appropriate, it's not exactly a "business casual" affair. She wasn’t arrested, she was detained. The reason? She couldn’t go into the SOTU with any type of protest, be it something she was holding or something she was wearing. Those are just the rules of decorum for this speech, and I believe, when Congress is in session.
