Unfortunetely in Massachusetts, the likelihood of you finding fireflies isn't that great until our 3 months(tops) of Summer. The other 9 months are marked by incredibly odd weather patterns that have led us all to lament our weather forecaster's ability.

As a resident of Massachusetts, I assure you any chunk of sanity you were hoping to find in this commonwealth will quickly be overcome by the sticker shock of the imperial lords of the state imposing taxes of all sorts on you, your family, your dog, and your family's dog.

You also have to deal with having 2 wingnut Senators represent you and a chronic inability to escape a Blue-state mentality. If California and Massachusetts got into a fight over who was more liberal, only San Francisco could beat Cambridge.

Just a disclaimer from a citizen concerned for your health and well being. It isn't that Massachusetts is a bad place to live per se, its just, well, any hope of having fulfilling memories of fireflies will compose only a small section of your memory compared to everything else you have to deal with.

Congrats on the house and another great post.

I'm glad you pointed out the Abu Ghraib photos again, because it gives me yet another opportunity to note that they don't define our military. But am I glad they've all come out now? Absolutely.

As I've said in the past, this bandaid needs to ripped off once and for all so our military can move past it and get back to the task of winning hearts and minds. And that's what has baffled me frankly about not releasing them. Are they really that bad? Perhaps. But better now then every six months for the next six years when 100 or so leak out.

In any event, here's to the comfort of fireflies.
