It’s never too early to start the political indoctrination of your kids, Callimachus. If you were a squirrel, you’d know that.

When I saw this, last week, I experienced one of those rare moments when “jaw-dropping” is a literal description. But after a moment, I thought: This is just too good to be true. It would have been an imminently bloggable thing for me, except that I wanted to know whether it was “for real,” or some sort of parody, or a plant. Thinking about what that would take, I lost my burning interest.
As for the sample pages, the text is is secondary to me. It’s the illustrations that are priceless, I think.
The other thing is that this book almost immediately jumped to mind. It’s a complete hoot, and we had it in one of our bathrooms for the longest time until the day–and I swear I’m not making this up–my son, while still in his projectile stage, spewed upon it past all redemption from an amazing distance away. (His daddy’s nickname for him wasn’t Spufford for nothing, you know.)
That was a fine day, a fine day. (I must say that I sort of missing having that book around, however.)
