Is Bin Laden Already Bagged?
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in The War On TerrorismAfter reading about Bush’s renewed interest in Afghanistan, are any of you wondering the same thing?
I mean, when he says “It’s not a matter of if they’re captured and brought to justice. It’s when they’re brought to justice,” I can’t help but think he knows something we don’t.
Anyway…just a random thought.

With approval ratings as low as Bush’s, I don’t think he’d want to hold off on revealing good news of any variety.

Besides, we’ve heard this kind of talk several times before and each time it turned out to be a false alarm.
Myself, I tend to lean toward a theory that’s been making the rounds lately that the Bush administration has judged bin Laden to be worth more to the U.S. alive, free and humiliated in the eyes of his fellow Muslims (for being rendered ineffectual by the U.S.) than either dead or captured.

Not that I believe they do have him (I suppose it’s possible but I don’t believe it’s true) but what does Bush care about his (or his party’s) poll numbers in February or March for? IF Bin Laden was already captured and IF his capture was being kept under wraps, possibly for political gain, wouldn’t the best time to announce his capture be shortly before the elections, not in late February or early March? That would give the Republicans a national security boost and probably help them in the elections.

If you see him in his jumpsuit holding a helmet …… turn up the volume ….he’ll have something to say and a really slick graphics banner in the background.

I don’t buy into conspiracy theories, period.

I used to not buy into conspiracy theories, period, but because of the last 6 years or so, I almost buy into all conspiracy theories, period.

I had that thought several times over the last 4 years - but each time, another tape would come out. We hear so little from this guy that it isn’t easy to know.

“Tin foil haaaaaats. Get yer gen-yew-wine tin foil haaaaaats, right here folks. Step right up, satisfaction guaranteed. Will block CIA satellite mind-control microwaves or a full refund of price of purchase. How about you, ma’am? Tin foil hat?”

Hey Cal,
Can we get them in Red or Blue?
March 6th, 2006 at 3:15 pm
The joke’s on you Cal. I happen to have a collection of tin foil hats, and they protect my brain from aliens, the government, and the mind-control my cats try to pull on me. Not to mention, they make the voices much quieter. In one of my hats, I have rigged up a little headphone system that COMPLETELY drowns out the voices. It is awesome.
GN,
They come in red, blue, green spots . . . really since they’re best if they’re homemade, you can decorate them to fit your personal tastes. I definitely wouldn’t buy any from Cal though. His hats might do the opposite of what he says.

They will not capture bin Laden alive. He will be strapped with so many explosives, he’ll blow himself to so many pieces that will have trouble figuring out if it is him at all.
