No, let’s not. I have all kinds of problems with the government but the last thing that I want to do right now is starve the military for recruits. It’s like some denigrating leftie caricature. So we want out of Iraq, great. I’m on board. Now find some way to accomplish that which doesn’t leave the military even less equipped to handle real-deal threats and set up “the left� as some sort of enemy of national service. Seriously, this has to be the most counterproductive use of energy that I’ve ever seen.
She’s never going to go away. The far left loves her and so does the bulk of the right. She’s an embarrassment to mainstream Democrats and a godsend to Republicans. She’s that most distressing feature of modern polarized political life, the Necessary Moonbat. If she didn’t exist, someone would have to invent her.

Indeed. I think it’s fair to say that anyone who takes their antiwar sentiments to the point actually impeding the expansion of our military, and military recruitment, does not support the troops, nor the defense of this nation.

I tend to think the real goal of impeding military recruitment is to force the government to reinstate the military draft, which would (as their theory goes) produce a groundswell of anti-war sentiment as it (supposedly) did with the Vietnam War.
