What we need is a Ross Perot with the money to go with it. Maybe to not be an equal to the other parties but to at least influence the other two parties. As a long time Democrat who would like to see more of a common sense Democrat and also as someone who would like to see either one party run both Houses of Congress and the other the WHouse or one party have a House of Congress and the WHouse and the other the other House of Congress. We need checks and balances as we have seen in the past with the Democrats and now with the GOP with unchecked power comes carelessness. When the GOP ran Congress and Clinton was President, government spending grew at their slowest rate in years. That made the politicians compromise, cause without that nothing would have gotten done in 8 years. We need to go back to that, I think. Let the Dems and the GOP rip each other apart, that will keep them as much out of our lives as possible. Yes a third party is nearly impossible.
