Comments Turned Back On

Why? Because I rock.

In fact, no help from DreamHost, I had to figure it out myself. In fact, my support email has gone almost 16 hours now without a reply from them, even though I labelled it a pretty serious emergency.

Thank you DreamHost!

I tend to use TextDrive. Really fast answers. Sadly, things also blow up more often than I’d like.

Actually, I finally got a response about an hour ago. They said, “Well, we can’t really help you install anything, or turn the comments back on. Read the documentation and figure it out for yourself. F to the U to the C to the K to the DreamHost.

This latest episode makes me want to throw things.

But you figured it out …. look how independent you are!

Yeah, this makes me glad SJ doesn’t use DreamHost.

Ever considered some sort of typing verification service instead (where commentators have to type a series of characters that are displayed as graphics to verify that they’re not spambots), such as on Blogger’s optional verification system? Maybe that will keep the spambots at bay. I wouldn’t use whatever system Winds of Change has got, though. They have a typing verification system and they say they’re still having big spam problems.

If it's just in moderation queue, it'll be published, but it may be deleted if it lands in the spam folder. My apologies if this happens but there are some keywords that push it into the spam folder.
