		<description>Somehow all these discussions overlook the one group which will clearly be most vigorously opposed to simplifying the tax system:  Accountants.  Truth-in-advertising would require renaming the tax code The Full Employment for Accountants Act -- and the state tax codes (at least in California) are even worse than the Federal one.  If we had a simplified tax code, vast numbers of people who currently hire accountants in the hope of just following the rules successfully (never mind gaming the system) would be able to do their own.  If it ever happens, it&#039;s time to sell H&amp;R Block short!</description>
