The dogma of certain scientists with respect to Intelligent Design is that they believe that the Theory of Evolution has something to say about ID or anyhing else theological. ID has lots to say about Evolution, but ID isn't science. Evolution is science, but it has nothing to say about the validity of ID.

On the global warming debate, I agree with Sisu that there is a religious-like dogma in the scientific community when it comes to Global Warming. James Hansen, the father of the Global Warming debate, is chief priest. His own numbers, which he has revised several times since initiating this circus in 1988, no longer support his conclusion that humans are affecting global warming. However, his ptolemics become ever more dire. If that isn't faith trumping science, I don't know what is.
