Trying on the Hitler suit

The law mandates the government to make sure that all Iranians wear “standard Islamic garments” designed to remove ethnic and class distinctions reflected in clothing, and to eliminate “the influence of the infidel” on the way Iranians, especially, the young dress. It also envisages separate dress codes for religious minorities, Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians, who will have to adopt distinct colour schemes to make them identifiable in public. The new codes would enable Muslims to easily recognize non-Muslims so that they can avoid shaking hands with them by mistake, and thus becoming najis (unclean).
The law has apparently been passed by the Iranian parliament but still requires approval by the true ruler of Iran, Ali Khamenei. The law would take effect in the fall at the earliest.
I’m not seeing much independent confirmation of this yet, just articles in some Israeli papers, conservative blogs and Christian news sites. So there may be less here than meets the eye.
If true, though, it’s yet another sign of what a nutcase Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is — he pushed hard to get the law through — and how willing Iran is to embrace every bad image their critics have ever painted them with.
And how important it is to ensure that these guys never get nukes.

You mean they are going to make men wear burka’s too? Now, that would be justice…since it their eyes that are wandering; why not give them blinders and let the woman dress as they please? As usual men can’t control themselves and their “urges”…so they make women suffer. Frankly, we are sick of it. Just because your arms are stronger doesn’t mean you are right. For some reason some men think might makes right. It may, but it doesn’t make for peace.
Treat others as you would like to be treated…that is what makes peace. But the liars and the greedy booksellers[they are having none of it. They want to control the world. I say let each country decide for themselves; if they want to be communist and they chose it-let them and stop interfering. If you come from outside and interfere-they may decide to take revenge. Each country should decide for themselves if they want rulers over them and if so, what kind of rulers they want.
The Americans have no idea the revenge that has been dished out to us. After all-if a government does not or can not protect their own citizens what good are they. What worries me is what I found out they would allow to happen to their own citizens.
ONE RULE FOR RICH AND POOR ALIKE! GOVERNMENT WORKER AND CITIZEN ALIKE!
