This will probably stay up for a day or so, unless another Donklephant blogger pushes it down. I’m taking a day off tomorrow, and not even thinking about blogging.

Say things!!!

Why is it that when a person leaves a blog comment that, most of the time, the person chooses to regurgitate somebody else’s opinion? The response is often the general consensus or ambiguous and fails to take a position. Worse yet is when a person uses a quote and weakly supports that quote.

    Zing! Next comment please!

How many of the right whine blogsites are going to post the “accidental” shelling of the beach at Tel Aviv?

I recently stumbled on an interesting perspective on the middle east, “The Arab Mind by Raphael Patai. Depending on who is doing the talking it is either the ultimate tome on understanding Arabs or a worthless doorstop.

From what I’ve seen so far I leaning toward a positive assessment. It was recommend by one of the oil workers over on theoildrum website. So I Googled it and found a review/summary. I have a friend who spend several years in Egypt and it seems to mesh with what he experienced.

Next time I get an Amazon order together I think I’ll buy it.
