    As I’ve **(cough)strongly implied(cough)**, there are certain types of people, certain specific people, on both sides of the spectrum, who simply no longer “hear” what they say.

    Open mouth, disconnect ears (and that’s to charitably omit the more important body part/organ which also disengages).
