The question is this. Even if she's a moderate on Iraq, will that win her any Red States? It's all about Red States. Can she build a Red Bridge to 21st Century Dem success (not an allusion to Communism)? There's a handful of opportunities, I think- FL, IA, VA. I'm just not sure she can pull it off.

I'd have to say that casting her in with the "Lieberman" wing is not the proper metaphor--she's in the Clark and Warner wing, which I tend to side with. Clark's got his stuff together, and is saying basically the same thing--and funny thing, they both got a positive reception from the DailyKos folks.

I tend to think Hillary herself is, by her long established identity, polarizing. Democrats need a different middle of the road figure to pin their hopes upon.

Yes, Democrats could jepordize a chance to replace these ineffective Republicans if they continue this party purge. Clinton's view while not too popular is still mainstream. Questionable wording to the title of this blog heh.

I really hope that Dems don't shoot themselves in the foot by attacking their own party members for not following a left-wing agenda to the letter. I think that's been the problem with that party for quite a while now. OMG, when will they get their shit together?

I wish we had not gone to war in the first place, and I would prefer it if we left Iraq in theory, but as I do not live in fairytale land, I'm definitely aware that we have gotten involved in a hornets nest, and we can't just sneak out the back door.

In general, I'm just tired of Dems picking on other Dems who are not "Dem" enough. Baby steps, people.
