I’d vote for Obama over McCain, no doubt, but seriously, I don’t think he’s a centrist. He talks the talk, but the votes show he doesn’t walk the walk. He follows the party.

In my mind, at least he’s talking about building bridges. With such a polarized Senate, that’s a good start. But yes, eventually his record is going to have to match his words. But right now every vote counts, and Obama is a Dem. It’s a very tough position to be in, and it’s not like he’s a Dem Senator from a red state. His constituency is quite “blue.”
