Though I think she is an intelligent and capable woman, she has far too much baggage to ever win in a bipartisan nationwide election. She probably could win a Democratic primary, but that would likely doom us to another term with a Republican in the presidency, something our nation cannot afford and might not survive.

Hillary - if you're listening, please continue trying to build consensus in the Senate - though don't do it by trying to turn yourself into a DINO just to appease voters in a presidential election who would never vote for you anyway.

I wouldn't vote for Sen. Clinton either for Senator or for President. However, I don't live in NY, so the former doesn't matter. :)

I very much hope that she stays in the Senate - she is smart, and has liberal credibility without having practiced the sort of scorched-earth politics like some of the more liberal folks have. I think she could do a great job of being a very influential Senator and being very important to the Democratic party there.

I will vote for her for Senate again, but in all honesty I hope she does not run for President. I think she would lose badly, and not because of the netroots - she would have evangelicals lining up for days.

Democrats are starting to realize that there are more people willing to vote against her than for her, not to mention the DailyKos and DU crown despise her. This whole senate B.S. is just a face-saving tactic so she doesn't seem like she is giving up.

Excuse me, but isn't this prospective "consensus builder" the one who coined the term "vast right-wing conspiracy"?? And she "believes there is no trust between the two political sides". Hm. I'm sure she's just what the doctor ordered.
