*Now, let me ask everybody this…if the GOP wants Lieberman to win, why in the hell would they ever let this information out? The short answer is because they want him to lose.*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Silly rabbit, mind tricks are for kids. Could it possibly be they "let this information out" to sucker independents into believing Holy Joe is not a "bought and paid for lackey of the GOP"??

The money speaks for itself.

I don't think voters in other states care about this race to the point where it would affect who they vote for. Most voters barely have knowledge or interest in their own local races, much less races in distant states. Do I think Bush is trying to cozy up to Lieberman? Of course! Lieberman is the de-facto Republican candidate. Schlessinger is a non-starter. A victory for Lieberman will be seen as a victory for Bush and a vindication of neoconservative policies. Let's not get confused here. Lieberman is Bush's proxy. A vote for Lieberman is a vote for Bush.

Justin,

I couldn't agree more...this is a classic counter intuitive ploy by Rove. They have had their sights on this Connecticut race for some time and the only way it serves their interest in the midterm election is if they can use it to portray the Democratic Party as weak on terror and being pulled further left by candidates like Ned Lamont.

I would expect to see more of the same from the GOP now that we are in the final phase of the campaign. Should be an interesting two months.
