They allowed the Bush Administraion to lead us into this swamp with very little criticism or oversight. Criticism will be supplied if the Democrats gain control of one house, but the gumbo in this swamp is very sticky; I don't believe that there is any easy way out. The largest gain from the Democrats winning, besides demonstrating to the Republicans dissatifaticion with their leadership, will likely be a more nonpartisian approach to governing, which is likely the key for getting us out of Iraq. On the other hand I don't think now is a good time to impeach him. Don't get me wrong, I think you could easily make a case and remove him. But we have a lot of problems to deal with right now, and consuming months of the congressional calendar for an impeachment doesn't seem like a good idea. Especially if the end result if President Cheney. Like most scalawags he and his crew will probably escape punishment for the harm they have done to this country.
