Who I’m Rooting For
By Alan Stewart Carl | Related entries in ElectionsNo one has ever mistaken me for a pollyanna, but I’m not so cynical as to believe the elections this Novemeber don’t matter. They do matter. Quite a bit. So, after much thought, I’ve decided which party I want to win this November. It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement (did you expect one?) but I’m content with my decision.
You can read what I have to say about it over at Maverick Views.

Big Whoop; you live in San Antonio - your vote doesn’t mean a thing. Although voting against Kay Bailey Hutchison can never be a bad thing.

In a very dark corner of my soul, I’m actually rooting for the Democrats to win in the hopes that we will get 2 years of the partisan bullshit pilling so high that everybody will have to take notice. The more these characters move to the left or right, the more room get left in the center for someone to carve out a viable middle of the road platform. I guess I still haven’t given up the dream of an end to the two party system.

Thanks for being part of the problem. Have fun throwing your vote away on a Republicrat. That middle-of-the-road yellow line down your back looks very attractive.

Thank you for that informed and intelligent point AlanSmithee. If your views are too extreme for the Kos crowd I can only imagine what pearls of wisdom you have to offer.
