It is a SHAME! Usually preachers that are preaching hard on the same issue is becuase they are hiding that same sin themselves and are justifying their own actions. His wife needs to wake up and check his emails and then she would really know what happen when the lights went off at night!

Well, there might be something about Haggard first denying everything, then admitting some of the accusations were correct (i.e. he had known Jones, and had bought meth from him, but not used it), then that he had also seen Jones for massage multiple times. In short, a steadily growning set of Jones’ charges being admitted after first being denied. Can you see why the accuser, even if he is a drug-dealing prostitute might have credibility that is growing, while Haggard’s is dropping? Even among those whose initial inclination was to accept Haggard’s word entirely.

Credibility is one of those things which suffers when one develops a history of admitting lying (whether via “clarifications” or simply serial admissions of acts previously denied).

Funny how the guy who is a Pastor of a Huge Church, and a National organization, with MANY people who vouch for him….has no credibility…..but a homosexual, drug dealing prostitute — has credibility???? what indeed has this country come to.

Come on–he goes to all the trouble of buying crystal meth and then throws it away? He wants a massage, but instead of looking in the phone book for a licensed professional masseur, he goes to a male prostitute? Ha ha ha!! How many of us have uttered words like “I want to buy crystal meth, can you get some for me?” And how many of us are famous evangelists who actually said those words. This guy has zero credibility (I mean Haggard, not the hooker).

I find it FASINATING that such a prominent spiritual leader as Haggard would need to involve himself with a gay prostitute and the purchasing of meth. Even if it was a test of his faith to be surounded by homosexuality and drugs, it at the very least implies that he has urges towords such behavior. Most likely the man who came forward is telling the truth and Haggard is a hipocrate and should re-evaluate the beliefs he’s preaching.

It’s more of the great LIE that the ‘White Anglo-Saxon Protestant’ tell, were they preach walking a narrow path, but even the most devout cannot walk it. If only people like Haggard would come to the realization that no one can be perfect and to to strive for perfection only ends in failure. It’s a fools dream. Instead they should work with their ‘weaknesses’, as ‘librals’ do, and find a balance with themselves.
Seriously, wich is worse to a conservitive, a man who all but admitted he smoked weed and slept with an intern, or one who smoked meth and slept with a gay male prostitute? That6’s when happenes when you spend your time judging others instead of working on youself…

P.S. I don’t do drugs and I’m not gay, but I don’t think it’s wrong to be gay, do drugs or any other private matter that doesn’t hurt others. It’s called diversity, and thats a good thing.

I don’t find it all that odd for an individual to be curious about meth or another substance.
