Also, majority of the general public is not aware of Mr. Robert Gates and his credentials. He may not bring new fresh ideas as he will continue with current policy as per joint statement yesterday. From my prespective, it would not be a bad idea for democrats to nominate Senator John McCain as he seems like independent thinker and will change the course in IRAQ.
