Austin Centrist is picking up signals that that’s what Republicans in the House and Senate are planning for the Democrats as part of a “Plan for Victory” called “24 Months to a New Republican Majority.”

So that’s all it’s all about.

    To filibuster as a strategy has some risk. The downside is that Republicans are seen as obstructionist on legislation, particularly if the legislation that is not all that controversial. This could backfire as the Democrats make the case that hey can only get things done with a wider majority. What I have never understood is why the Democrats will not challenge the Republicans on their [supposed] core belief of no deficit spending. Basically the challenge would be if the Republicans can’t find a reduction in spending, esp. earmarks, then the tax cuts go.
