Which tells us all we need to know about polls and the public in general, I suppose.  

Maybe if people had been paying attention in the first place we wouldn&#039;t be in this situation.

Instead, the public let blind patriotism (albeit stoked by lies and innuendo)  dictate who they were going to support. 

I could barely comprehend how Bush ALMOST won in 2000 (had to force myself not to launch into that tirade again), but the 2004 election continues  to make my head hurt just thinking about it. 

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me--fool me again and again and again and again....sigh</description>
