Kit Bond Not Retiring

So it was just a rumor. I should have known better.

From Columbia Tribune:

Although Bond denied the rumor before Christmas, it persists. Yesterday, Sam Richardson, a lobbyist who lives in Moberly and who also works and lives in Washington, said he has fielded questions from Capitol Hill staffers asking about Bond’s future.

“Why didn’t you tell me Kit Bond was going to resign to take the presidency of the University of Missouri?” is the question Richardson said he has received.

In an interview yesterday, Bond said, “There are very few things that we can say definitively these days, but you can definitively kill that one.”

“I have no interest in it,” Bond said. UM curators “would have no interest in taking me out of this post.”

Dead and dead.
