Senator Schwarzenegger?

From Washington Whispers

There’s growing buzz in Washington and California that just re-elected Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger likes this government stuff so much that he’s got his eye on the Senate. Specifically, the seat held by Sen. Barbara Boxer, who’s up for re-election in 2010 when the Terminator ends his second term.

Hmmm…

Ah, but could the California Republican primary voters overcome their death-wish to the point that they would be willing to nominate someone who could actually beat Boxer? Because Arnold is moderate enough that he very well could win a general election for the Senate against Boxer.

As a Californian, I really, really hope it happens. But after decades of watching Republican primaries here, I certainly wouldn’t bet the ranch on it.
