Yes, as a centrist myself, I often feel like Jesus; you know, suffering the iniquities of Man, knowing not what they do, exc.. Lonely, indeed, is the path of the righteous, a veil of tears, quiet lives of desperation, shouting hopelessly into the choatic abyss, “mod—er—a–tion” yea polarized savage tribes.

Please remember though Marc, “moderation” means: 1) increase income tax & corporate franchise tax, 2) universal healthcare, and 3) progressive social values constitutional protected and, above all else, moderation means vehemently opposing everything George Bush does or says.

If you can’t abide by these simple rules of “moderation” then you will be intellectually dishonest and I will scorn you.

Thanks. The center can be a lonely place. I’d liken it to sitting on top of a narrow, sharp fence, exposed to slings and arrows from both sides.

Marc, a few things. Didn’t realize that you’re 61- there’s something about this medium that morphs everyone into a presumptive 25-30 range. Why is that? Second, your work at American Future continues to be outstanding; no surprise there. Third, I’ve been unsurprised by your treatment at the other centrist blog. The commenters there are far from moderate. In addition, the quality of the posting there has become diluted. Hopefully I’ll start visiting Justin’s site more often now that you’re hear. I enjoyed Donklephant in its heyday when Justin and Callamachus went head-to-head. I’m looking forward to calmer seas.
