Chill, Congressman.
By sideways | Related entries in General PoliticsI hailed this guy’s election to the House of Representatives. Now? To hell with him. The nation’s first Muslim Congressman has a stick up his butt.

Indeed, what a whiny little twit. He can’t go next door and say something. Just stupid, but grrrrrrreat copy for the GOP.

Yeah, this was ridiculous. It also makes me think this new guy isn’t up for the job if this is how he decides to solve problems.
In other words…booooooo!

I should confess that I do have a dog in this fight. Or if not a dog then certainly a Macanudo Gold Label, or perhaps an Ashton Maduro.

So Tom “Bomb Mecca” Tancredo is officing next to Congress’ first Muslim?
Someone has a sense of humor.

I agree that calling the cop was not the classy way to go, but two thoughts:
1. It was his staff, not him, that did it — they only informed him about it afterwards.
2. You’re going to say “to hell with him” because he gets irritated at having cigar smoke drift into his office? Isn’t that a little petty?

Right, but he gave the thumbs after the fact. You’re right…it is a small thing, but it’s a dumb thing.
And Sean, I think Michael was being playful, as he does from time to time. Please correct me if I’m wrong Michael if you think he should really go to hell.

In and of itself, it is a small thing. But…he called the cops…for cigar smoke. Let cut to the chase: This guy is a sissy and, probably, a ninny. I don’t even think he is a guy – I think he might be a chick. An annoying chick that bitches about the cigar smoke. I hope Tancredo meets him in the bathroom and gives him an atomic wedgy and a swirley. Fruit cake.

From think progress:
These reports are all false. Ellison never called the Capitol Hill police. Rick Jauert, Ellison’s spokesman, confirmed to ThinkProgress that he was the one who made the call. He said he wasn’t sure from where the “smoke odor was coming, so he called the House superintendent’s office, as is standard protocol. The superintendent’s office then transferred him to the police.

Justin:
Hell might be just a little severe.

I could really support a Congress that settled arguments with atomic wedgies.
