I’m glad the non-binding resolution died in the senate. Now Murtha’s “slow bleed” will be DOA as well.

“Mr Murtha is trying to proetect the soldiers of which he was one”-yea, benedict Arnold was once a soldier too….Yea, he’s protecting the toops by making sure that the 140,000 don’t have support….Brilliant.

The MSM is “right wing”? This is the sort of a comment that only a delusional lunatic would make…Oh, wait-it takes a delusional lunatic to watch a degenerate like John Murtha and not get sick…To call him a scumbag-and the democrats traitors is an insult to scumbags and traitors everywhere.

Be proud of Jack Murtha-he is a crook, who accepted an endorsement from Code Pink-a bunch of scumbag communists who like to mock wounded soldiers, and a lowlife.

Mr. Murtha is trying hard to protect the soldiers, which he once was, from what he must believe is a very difficult set of circumstances. Maybe he’s trying too hard, but at least he seems to realize the reality of their situation and is doing what he can. That is far more honorable a position than simply falling in line to protect your party’s leadership, even when they’ve failed to lead in an honest, rational way.
Wasn’t Murtha once one of the few Democrat hawks who could be counted on by the Repubs to vote with them on defense issues? Now that he’s changed his mind he’s transformed into another liberal pansy. How many of the Republicans who got us into this disaster in Iraq ever experienced war the way Congressman Murtha has?

On the one hand, it’s an effective way to demonstrate the unsustainability of the current deployment, as well as the damage it’s doing to military readiness.

But I agree that backdoor handcuffs aren’t the way to go. Congress needs to find the guts to address this head on.

Good for Murtha. About time.
Democrats were not elected to continue doing Bush’s bidding-in this disastrous and incompetent war of his. For that we had the 108th and 109th Congress. The so called “MSM” continues to be a puppet of the republicans. In the months ahead I hope the Democrats do not lose their spine
