Getting infantile? It’s far worse than that. Derranged would be the more appropriate term. Rudy takes a GOP “conservative” stand stating that the nation must keep aborting our populace. Homosexuals on the other hand are lobbying for more adoptions. Al, the champion of hot air, is convinced that the end is here and everyone needs to buy carbon offsets so as not to live in uncomfortable homes of, um, less that 10,000 square feet. Pelosi is bound and determined to shut down free speech for the good of the nation. The 9th District Court, I am convinced, eats shrooms for lunch everyday.
I find Ann Coulter refreshing. Is she running for office? I’ll vote for her.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think they should have to apologize?

THEY didn’t say anything… Coulter opened her mouth. She is not a politician. nor does she hold ANY political office. So WHY should a politician who has ZERO connection to the woman have to apologize for something SHE said?

That’s like me running off at the mouth on National TV and Tom Coburn having to recant my statement because someone might think he agrees with me.

Why is what she (almost) said any different than some celebrity saying that Bush is an idiot? Is a “faggot” going to be more offended than someone his is IQ challenged?

If the GOP is trying to avoid “guilt by association” with Coulter here, it’s probably a futile gesture.

In a two-party political system, whichever party’s candidates you vote for and for whatever reasons, at some or other level you are inevitably getting into bed with all the dingbats at the ideological fringes of that party. So, fairly or not, it is inevitable that the public’s perception of the GOP will be colored by Coulter and her remarks whether the GOP “officially” disowns them or not, just as the Dems’ public image is bound to be colored by the likes of Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore.

Most third-party candidates tend to draw their support from those same fringes, which is why they can’t make a dent in the Big Two. Of course, any third candidate who doesn’t have a fringe to weigh their public image down in this manner (*cough*Unity08*cough*) will have a big built-in advantage…

This is nice to seeÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â¦but curiousÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â¦only one of them actually said it themselves. The other two had their spokesman make their statements.

Coulter is a lunatic fringe of one. Maybe if she were ignored more she would go away. A pipe dream I know…..but can’t you just picture her practising personal injury law in Topeka?
