Maybe these experts are actually claiming that bin Laden has joined this British 1980s band, which is apparently still active.
Of course if that were true, then his cover has been blown, and what he really needs to do is find himself a brand new cover. ;)

I believe he is dead, but it is possible he is alive. Is that the same thing? Or does that answer disqualify me as an expert.

Which “experts”? Judging by the track records of some of them, they’re wrong about this, too, and Osama’s probably a zombie or having an extended out-of-body experience.

I’ve seen a lot of nonsense connecting Bin Laden to the Bush Regime and numerous other nations. He is being protected by Bush, hiding in Syria, in a hole in Iraq like Sadaam was, etc. Ultimately I think CNN knows as much as anyone does, he is dead or alive… and that’s it.
However, Ultimatley it comes down to this… what does anyone gain by finding him, and how much trouble would his discovery and capture cause? Bush and Cheney certainly don’t need to find him, they aren’t seeking reelection, simple politics. And… might be nice to keep him out there if some other republican needs a scapegoat for failing to find weapons of mass destruction.
“Oops, we blew this place to hell… and no weapons. Well, we found (insert big baddy here) so there was actually a point to all this. B.S. ++
