When the democrats take over and end the war in Iraq, this will all go away. President Bush will no longer be around to make Muslims hate us, radicals will no longer be able to recruit new terrorists, and therefore they will naturally abandon their religious fundamentalism and 1400 year-old internal conflicts. The whole world will be able to solve all conflicts by talking, which of course is what Syria, Iran, and Al-Queda always wanted to do in the first place. The problem is that the Taliban might turn away from Afghanistan and get involved in the internal disputes of Pakistan. By fomenting political instability in Pakistan they will, in effect, create a new Taliban dominated state. They know they can’t stand up to us militarily but they can destabilize governments, and they thrive on the chaos that ensues.
