    Imagine if every family imposed economic sanctions on China in this way. Hundreds of Millions of working-class Chinese people would lose their jobs and much of the society would regress into abject destitute poverty. Perhaps the question that should be asked is: Could China live without us?

    Great point. Probably not, but I doubt we could go without them unless there was a significant economic push with a grassroots groundswell. We’d have to make it easy for people, and easy and economical never go hand in hand.
