I could tell that Jeremy was on the Bush/Cheney/Libby side right up until this debacle, which just barely tipped the scales, and now he just is fed-up and is no longer supporting this administration. Gosh, Bush was dumb to alienate his supporters like this.

What makes this issue so contentious for me is that Bush is one of the least pardoning president in modern history. This really has nothing to do with the fact Bush has used his power to pardon, or even that
it is a Rebuplican stalwart that he is pardoning.

It all comes back to integrity. Recall that Bush said that if "anyone" was found guilty during the course of this investigation there would be no leniency for those who were found guilty. That is of course, unless one of his law breaking lackeys is implicated. In that case Bush already knew that he would cover anyone that covers his corrupt vice president.

Bush gives his quaint little speeches and uses his Texas colloquial charm to "assure" the American people that he believes in justice. But really he has no respect for the law in this country, nor any respect for world laws for that matter. It's all about Bush and what Bush wants, there is not a drop of justice that enters into the whole equation.

When I hear the news commentators saying things like: "He hasn't been pardoned and his career is ruined. He must pay 250,000 in fines too, that doesn't sound too lenient to me. I mean, he is a first time offender and this wasn't a violent crime" it makes me sick. This man will make that money back and then sum when he writes a book about it, and you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a book. As for his career being destroyed? Lol! puhlllllllllease! How many drug companies, law practices or lobbying firms are looking for the slimiest of the slime, the most "effective" hand bender they can get to "persuade" the powers that be to give them the "sweet deal of deals, tax break, subsidy..etc?" Yeah! I bet Scoot is gonna have a helluva time finding work, he might even be in the next unemployment office near you.

I can say with 100% certainty and every fiber in my body that I abhor this man, what he stands for and the corrupt and upward mobile people that surround him. These people are the antithesis of what America stands for.

Winds of Change's "Armed Liberal" put it best: <a href="http://www.windsofchange.net/archives/009695.php" rel="nofollow">"It's clear the President Bush is officially in the "Don't Give A F**k" zone."</a>

He must figure by now that he's hit rock bottom, but as Bob Dylan once wrote, "When you ain't got nothin', you've got nothin' to lose."

Let's face it. It is not really a case of having the full story behind Benderman.

Far more important is the full truth behind Libby, not in relation to the Plame affair but as a small glimmer of light in a very large and blacked-out room...
