<i>"Apparently he raised that much in his 2000 congressional campaign." -z</i>

It means he will raise one hell of a lot more than his previous congressional campaigns now. Also, money he does not spend on the Presidential campaign he can use to win re-election to Congress. I wonder how much money <a>Eric Dondero</a> has raised? He is going to need a lot.

"Ron Paul out fundraises McCain: The game’s over, John."

The game was over when McCain put his confidence in Bush regarding the war in Iraq. Even Republicans see through this BS War. You can talk about freedom and democracy and the "War on Terror" until your face is blue but it doesn't mean Americans are buying it.

Bush's presidency might be on good footing if he had stuck to finding and fighting real terrorists, instead he put forth a completely corrupt Neocon agenda to dominate the Middle East while trying to dress it up as the "War on Terror." Meanwhile, the only thing Bush has managed to accomplish is the ire of a majority of Americans and an outright majority of the world, save, Great Britain, and even then it is not the majority of Britons that support
our policy but their government instead. Hardly a surprise.

Bush has not made the world as safer place. Dozens of countries are now actively seeking the acquisition of nuclear weapons that were not before Bush tenure. It's indisputable that Bush has destroyed the hard won reverence and credibility of America, now it's only a question of who, if anyone can restore America to a position of trust and respect in the world again. Anyone that is willing to continue to follow Bush in any endeavor does so at their peril. McCain is a man that is brutally loyal, unfortunately it is his loyalty to this "We got to make Iraq work" policy that has destroyed any possibility of his gaining the Republican nomination. His purposed immigration bill didn't prove to help his popularity among Republicans either.

[...] (Boy, there is an unlikely scenario; my putting John McCain and Ron Paul in the same paragraph with Ronald Reagan. Sheesh.)
