Unfortunately, neither the democrats nor the republicans will seize this moment.

The Iraqi people WANT US OUT. And yet Bush wants us there. If Iraq is supposed to be a democracy, then shouldn’t that mean that the majority gets its way, and doesn’t that mean that Iraq can no longer be occupied?

How can a country be Democratic if it is occupied? Isn’t an occupation INHERENTLY undemocratic? And yet our troops will still be there. Even if Maliki BEGGED America to leave, Bush would still stay there.
