Live Video From Ron Paul’s Iowa Team
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Iowa, Ron Paul, VideoUPDATE 2:
Apparently it’s not a heavy turnout…
Campaign officials estimate that around 14,000 Iowans cast straw ballots today. That’s about sixty percent of the 23,500 who voted in 1999. So, turnout is clearly low. But that’s not surprising, given that three major candidates refused to attend.
And who’s leading?
Right now, Romney tops the polls in Iowa with anywhere from 26% to 30%, depending on the polls.
So why haven’t they announced it yet?
UPDATE:
Looks like the results are going to be coming a little later than expected.
Hmmm, wonder why…

The results of the straw poll are going to be announced at 7pm CST.
By the way, how cool is this? Live video? The savvy use of technology is what sets Paul’s supporters and his campaign apart, as it did with Dean.
