I have no idea where Tom comes up with this “anti-Republican” bias in the media, most media outlets are owned and operated by conservatives and show significant amounts of anti-progressive bias.

The anti-Republican bias of academia is obvious – the smarter you are, the more likely you are to not be a Republican. Unless of course you’re rich and have no conscience.

And you can crow all day about anti-Republican bias, but the simple fact of the matter is the Republicans are the only party that has a stranglehold on the vast media outlet of radio. They also have a TV station that is blatantly favorable to them. These “liberal bias” arguments are tired and hackneyed. Try something else.

And how they use it, in practice. Like, meet the new corrupt Dem Congress, same as the old corrupt Rep Congress.

Too bad for me that I think small gov’t domestic policy is most likely with a Dem Pres & a Rep Congress — I really think we need a Pres who wants the USA to win in Iraq, and create a functioning democracy, or maybe 3. With no more than twice as many murders per capita as New York + LA + Chicago.
